I live here in the spring and autumn months near Pedeguer 8 miles from Denia on the Monte Solana urbanisation, lovely vies of both mountains and sea and close to the shopping complex at Ondara it is a wonderful place to live. I am a bit worried about the uk referendum and definitely hope that we stay in the european union as you can see that the pound as grown weaker with all this talk about coming out of Europe.God only knows how it will affect ex pats living out here if the vote goes the wrong way.

on a lighter note its good to see your list of holidays as people seem to relish setting fireworks off at the drop of an hat and I have two dogs one being very nervous of the bangs from fireworks.I wonder what enjoyment people get from setting them off in broad daylight?

Hope the weather is improving I am looking forward to driving down from the Lakes with the dogs and enjoying some sunshine after all the floods we have had in Cumbria.

Hi Phyllis, my husband and I moved to Gran Alacant last November and have found Gran Net great for internet, tv and mobiles and respond to problems with a couple of hours.  English speakers always available. Guadamar is near here so I imagine they cover your area.   We have been going to Spanish lessons in our local library but other than that have spent most of our time getting to know the Murcia/Alacante area, organizing NIE and medical cards as well as the purchase of our house.  We have a dog and have met many people through the dog park in Gran Alacant.  We have had a number of visitors (amazing how popular you are when you move to Spain) but have enjoyed chilling out. and enjoying the sunshine.

Bobbie
