Telecable/Excom Chaos

We had Telecable Broaduinstalled a year ago and it worked just fine. Coming back here for the winter, we have no internet. The Telecable WiFi code was showing, but no internet After calling them someone apparently fiddled with the system. Now not even the WiFi code shows. I have reset the router 3 times. All to no avail. I am frustrated. Speaking to other Telecable customers, everyone agreed, since the takeover by Excom the service has been chaotic. What’s your experience? Has anybody a recommendation for a more professional provider?

Hi Ozzie

I’m with Vega Fibra ( now taken over by Avatel) I’ve been with them for many years and have the switch on/off service as I have a holiday home here.

Vega Fibra have an office on the urbanisation, I’m not sure if your are on the Urb or in La Marina village.

I'm with Telecable and in resident in Spain. When Excom took over the failing Telecable there was chaos and the service dropped off alarmingly. After many phone calls the service has returned to normal and running a speed test I get about 50% more than I pay for, so for the moment I am happy to stay with them.

hi my name is Hilary since they change me to Excom I have had nothing but trouble I now have to cope with a low speed they say they are coming to my home to fix it but dont turn up its a nightmare

I was in U K at switch over but on return speeds were very low “Telecable” van arrived within 24 hours of my complaint and fixed it with new router now works very well indeed. My advice is pester them and threaten to leave I am out of contract so can switch at any
