Hello everyone and happy new year from Birmingham...we are due to collect keys on our holiday home in LA marina URB in about 6 weeks time and wanted advice on who can provide a decent but cheap TV and WiFi package,we are first time buyers abroad so will b on here lots for tips and advice.can anybody also tell me if TVs can b purchased in the UK to use in Spain,told you we are novices.....we are out to view 20/22nd Jan and would love to meet up with anyone who can offer us good advice or just helpful tips....I'm Phil and my wife's Helen,so if u fancy a beer or just a cuppa it would be great....

Hi Phil

Go to the Zoco market on Sunday mornings and see the guys at Zoco Telecom (in the very top row by the English book stall).

They do a great Android TV system which gives you all the UK TV channels including Sport and catch up. Also included are 1,000's of on demand films and box sets.

No satellite dish required but you will need a decent internet service with 4Mb download speed or faster.

Their advice and support is excellent.

Hi Philgara1967, I have a home on La Marina Urb phase 2, have just returned home after spending Christmas and new year there. Do you know what phase you are going to be on, as my friend who has a home on phase 1 has just had fibre optic installed on their phase, this covers TV, Phone and WiFi, for about 26 euros a month (I think) you could also tailor the needs that suit yourself. they also do monthly switch on/off, handy if your coming back to UK for a length of time. Ask your neighbours, or whoever is sorting your house for you they should have the relevant details. Reference TV'S, if you have a Uk TV your taking out, make sure you have an adaptor with you for the plug, then it is a case of retuning the TV when you get out there. Alternatively buy one from Carrefours or from the Euronics shop opposite the Santander bank. Good Luck with your move, and perhaps might bump into you at the Palms bar on consum square in March when next over.
