Help to track down fine notification from DGT

I have arrived back at our home in La Marina and found a notice from the Correos that they were holding a letter from DGT addressed to myself. I tried to collect the letter from the Correos but it was too late and it had been returned to sender. I have tried to access the DGT website to find out if it is a traffic fine but I am getting nowhere as I don’t have the fine reference number. There is a telephone number to call for overseas drivers but it just gives a recorded message and then cuts off. Is anyone able to advise me how I find out what the contents of the letter from the DGT are?
