Hi folks,

The long held dream of owning a little piece of Spain is finally coming true (fingers crossed!).  After years of idle dreaming, months of intensive internet research and a frenetic viewing trip two weeks ago followed by a few days of nail biting offers etc, it looks like the dream is about to become a reality.  We researched a lot of areas and shortlisted Villamartin, Cabo Roig and La Marina we knew pretty quickly that La Marina ticked nearly all our boxes and having looked at around 12 properties we have now got an offer accepted on a great little property.  Things are now moving fast - reservation fee paid, purchase contract signed today and it looks like we could complete within a few weeks.  So hard to believe!  I'm now in intensive research mode as I want to learn as much as possible before our first visit as a property owner.  I'll be really grateful for the Forum's help in answering the no doubt stupid questions that I will come up with.  Thanks in advance, your help is much appreciated.  Hoping it all works out! 😎

Welcome to La Marina Colin, I'm sure you'll like it here.

I know that quite a number of members of this forum have lived here a long time - for example, fourteen years in my case and so there's a lot of knowledge and experience available if you need help and advice.

Let us know how you get on.

Good luck!

Geoff

Hi Geoff,

Many thanks for the good wishes - 14 years is a great recommendation, you must like it there!  No doubt there will be lots to learn as a newbie, so experience like yours would be invaluable.  Looking forward to discovering the area!
