We are looking to buy a 2 bedroom property ideally on a complex with a communal pool   We want ground floor with good outside space. Location in the Villamartin /Quesada/La Marina area or this general area. Must be walkable to bars and restaurants and be within say 3k.  Maximum budget around 60,000 euros. Thanks.

For your budget you could definitely pick up a property in La Marina. We looked at a range of properties just below your budget and there are some decent ones around. A lot of very small one bedroom properties starting at 30k euros. Depending what you want, you should easily get a two or three bedroom property in La Marina, if that area floats your boat. Usual buying advice applies - check and recheck everything you're told by an estate agent. Satisfy yourself by doing your own research - we found vital information by talking to neighbours. If something seems too cheap to be true or has been reduced a couple of times it's not unreasonable to be naturally cautious. Properties are too cheap for a reason, usually! Might not be the property itself where the problem is, so think outside the box when asking questions. Best advice I can give is: The day you buy is the day you sell.

Many thanks Colin, good solid advice. Being cautious and asking lots of questions seems the order of the day!

Regards.

Ron.
