Hi there.Iwas thinking about holiday renting my one bed apartment for the summer months in Cabo Roig to pay some bills.I am UK citizen.Would average about 6 weeks and get about 1500 euros gross or 900 net.The crux of my question is my tax liability to the Spanish Tax Authorities.I have got different reports.E:G.1.If its under 900 gross there is no need to declare it.2.No need to declare it because it is so small as long as you pay ALL your other taxes..3.IT Would be different if it was bigger e:g: 15,000euros per annum on a buy to let:   4.You must pay tax on it every 3months on it at 25% of the gross:i:e 375Euros.I was just wondering if anyone could enlighten me here:kind regards:Des.

Before you rent out your property, you need a license:

https://www.costablancaforum.com/area/torrevieja-spain-134/property-rental-wanted-in-torrevieja-34/property-rental-licence-information-please--how-to-get-one-17037/#postid-39284

You pay tax quarterly, within 20 days after the end of each quarter, e.g. tax for Jan-Mar rental income is declared by 20th April.

It used to be that non-residents couldn't claim expenses, but I'm sure this was changed for EU residents, and that you can now claim expenses in the same way that resident owners do; i.e. IBI, mortgage interest, community charge if applicable, basura, house insurance, water, electricity, gas, internet if applicable.

You don't pay IVA unless you provide services like catering and cleaning.

I'm fairly sure you use the same form that you use for your annual non-resident tax declaration, Modelo 210.
