traffico charged an extra 130.00 euros in tax on the car. does any one know how to get a cars valuation ?

As well as the Tráfico transfer fee, there's transfer tax paid to Agencia Tributaria.
Book values and depreciation factors are in:

Tax used to be 4%, but Valencia introduced different tax rates depending on age and engine size.

230 should cover it, a gestor charges around 50.00 euro to do this, think you got ripped of, my last cars where all around 160 euro including tax
interesting. i think i need a new gestor. which one do you use ?

I bought 4 cars in Spain last 4 years and used 3 different Gestors, all the same fee. I help now foreigners in our area (Hondon Valley, Alicante) and work together with a Spanish garage, they also know al rules and tricks about ITV. You can mail me with details and I can find out how much it is here, we are not that far from La Marina.

There are people who rent out cheap cars, but seems not for that long period, most rentals are only for a shorter period available. Buying and selling is a option. You will need a NIE and proof that you live here.
