El Club Carrefour email address issue

I can't answer your question, but just wanted to say I have run into the same problem this month for the first time. Previously I had no problem accessing my account online but now the security check will not allow me access with my 'btinternet.com' email address.

I have tried emailing them but only got the standard 'your email is receiving attention' response. I plan to give them a bell this week and see if we can resolve it by talking to a human being. If I learn anything, I will post again.

Frankly I find it bizarre that any email address ending in .com would be rejected by any business anywhere in the world!

What email provider uses UK.com anyway?

Setup a new email with gmail.com

BTW I'm signed up with Carrefour with a yahoo.co.uk email address, go figure!

I too am registered with Carrefour and only use a .co.uk e-mail address.

I have today obtained the following from the Carrefour website:

I have always used my .com email with no problems.

I doubt that it´s your email address, more likely some tracking cookie that ties your computer/phone to the UK.

It might be worth trying a VPN and setting it to pretend that you´re in Spain.

Next time you are in Spain, go to Dos Mares and talk to them at the Information desk - 

opposite the store, ground floor, in the shopping mall 

This may be useful info for some Carrefour card holders. I am a Spanish resident and have the Carrefour 65+ card.

Previously, when I received an email telling me I had earned a cheque ahorra, I used to go into my online account and print off the discount coupon.

However, when I received the most recent email telling me I had a cheque, I couldn't access my account online using my desktop computer! I'd get so far, then a message came up tellling me to enter a six figure code they would email me right away. Needless to say, no such email arrived.

The strange thing was, if I accessed my account online via my mobile phone, I was able to enter it with no trouble and no six figure security code. I was able to see that I had a credit to spend in the shop, but there was no voucher to print off and no instruction on how to get the discount!

Finally, I went to my local store in Portal de Marina and explained all this at the customer service counter. The lady took my card and used it to print off the discount voucher at her till printer. In future, this is what I will do every time.

By the way, I used it to buy a bottle of my favourite malt whisky, 12 year old Singleton, currently on offer there for €19.90 a bottle. A steal!
