Hi I recently moved to a house in the El Plano region in Sax we have had a terrace built and would like to know what rules there are with regards to BBQ's. There is an existing BBQ house (a whole room just to house the BBQ) but unfortunately it is a long way from the house but wondered if that is the rules regarding BBQ's. Any help would much appreciated. Many thanks

We live in the campo on the road to Elda. A lot of neighbours are Spanish people with holiday homes. Barbecues go on all through the warmer months. If there are rules nobody seems to pay them any attention. Bonfires are another matter. They are not permitted after April. You could check at the town hall seeing as El Plano is an area of ecological interest.
