Hi, I understand that dogs need to be insured soon in Spain for 3rd Party Liability Insurance?
I only have a very small Maltese, 3 kilo, couldn't bite a hole in a bag of flour but I guess ill need to insure it.
Can anyone recommend a cheap insurer in Spain, my property is in the Villamartin area.

Check first with your house and contents policy. My dog is covered via this with Mapfre.
Our neighbour has a medium sized dog and had it included on his house insurance and cost 8 euro a year. I think that was more of an admin charge to change the policy. No need to take out expensive insurance.

We discovered that our Sabadell house insurance includes cover - it must’ve been standard, as we didn’t ask for it.

My house insurance has a pet clause in it for 3rd party risks.however it isn't specific as to the dog itself.i have taken out a separate policy which identifies my dog from it's microchip ..I went with protectapet who are very reasonable indeed.
