We have done the same and retired to Bigastro. We have been too busy sorting out all the necessities that we’ve not had time to look back. I wouldn’t say it’s easy but it is nice to be learning new things and exciting to have a different way of life.
Good luck & move forward don’t look back.

We retired to V Martin a year ago from South Africa (originally from Kent) First 6 months hectic with lots of red tape to plough through but well worth it in the end.

Thankyou for your reply Jenny. We may be neighbours this time next year then!:)
Don't forget you are only a couple of hours away from your friends and family, so they can visit for holidays at anytime or you can go back to the U.K. to visit friends and family while Social Media keeps you in touch.

Hi there
We are also from SA and originally from Durham, moved here via UK so we could get all our pensions etc sorted. Lived in SA 40 years so a huge change😬. Lots to get used to and sort as we have just received our NIE numbers, but we’ll survive 😂😂 you just have to keep a positive attitude.
Cheers
Joan
