I recently bought a house in Villamartin.

I got prices from 3 solicitors in Torrevieja and finally went with Pablo Marcos. He spoke good English and had an English office manager.

Stamp Duty is 10 % of sale price and his fees were 1900€ this include everything.  Notary, utilities and obtaining the NIE.

I couldn't believe how easy it was.

Another piece of advice is choose your agents carefully. I got completely fed up with them and put my business card under the doors of the properties I liked. It worked we cut the agents out the deal and I bought privately

Hi, have you found a property or are you still looking, if you are still searching I have a very nice Battening style town house for sale in El Galan, also a very good Solicitor connection I can fully recommend.

I purchased last year and after lots of research I employed Esther Arroyo of Arroyo Legal.

http://arroyolegal.com/en/arroyo-legal-p390.aspx

Esther is a "proper" lawyer and will not allow any dealings that are not 100% legal e.g she will not allow cash under the table payments.

I would highly recommend her service and I found the whole process very easy and with someone as trustworthy as Esther protecting your interests I had no worries at all during the buying process.

Good luck

Mark
