Anyone looking for a top class Thai /Asian restaurant in the La Zenia or Playa Flamenca area I can highly recommend the Papaya Tree. Excellent food at a good price, you will not be disappointed. I had |Thai food and it was as good as anywhere I have been in Pattaya / Jomtien.

Definitely concur with Foxy’s comments, we’ve been going to the Papaya Tree for 2 years now, always ensuring we pop in on each visit to our place in Playa Flamenca, always top quality food and attentive staff.
Was gutted when we heard they are closing down for good in February.......
Didnt know they were shutting..any readon why.. or have they had enough..

I spoke with the owner, she said they were closing fue to an exciting new venture elsewhere, maybe selling to raise capital? Papaya Tree is always packed out, seems to me that they’re throwing away a good earner - but then again I’m not a businessman so can’t really comment!
None of the staff are losing their jobs, but I’ve no idea what the nes venture will be, or where it is to be located

The Banana Tree does Thai and Chinese, Saturday night has good entertainment too.
