The biggest celebration is around Cabo Roig Strip, all the Bars and Restaurants get involved, their is a large parade and bands playing through the afternoon into the evening, I haven't heard who the Chief Guest is yet, last year it was Brian Cowen, the  former Irish Fianna Fáil politician who served as Taoiseach ( Prime Minister ).

Also the Emerald Isle at La Florida has entertainment all day and a special menu available.

If you are in Torrevieja a Taxi should cost you around 15-20€ each way.

Brian Cowen? Thanks for the heads up - stay away from Cabo Roig on Paddy’s Day. 😉

Yeah. But the memory of Fianna Fáil lives long in the heart.
