Hi,

My partner and I are recently home after purchasing our new house between Villajoysa and Orcheta! We plan to relocate full time at the end of July and are eager to make friends! We love hiking and are planning to get a dog once we settle in. I am also wondering if the Ayuntamiento in either Orcheta or Villajoysa run Spanish lessons for ex-pats? When I lived in Andalusia previously, the local town hall ran classes and it was a great way to meet people.

Also, when we were wandering around Villajoysa a few weeks ago, I saw groups of women out dragon boat racing on the sea. It's something I'd love to do, if anyone on here knows anything about that, I'd love to hear. All suggestions welcome.

Hi. You have picked the most wonderful place to move to. Hopefully you will get here as planned at the end of July and we would love to meet you. We have only been here a couple of years but love it. Get in touch when you get here and we can meet up. Sorry, dont know anything about the dragon boat racing but it will not be hard to locate!

Hasta pronto, Francesca.

Ps. Hope you like roller skating - I  am looking for people to skate (or hobble around) with.

Hi.

We have just moved to a villa just the other side of Orxeta and loving it. We were having a drink with some friends we met on Costa Blanca forum. They are being taught Spanish by the bar owner. He pays 15 euros per hour although she only wanted 10. Get in touch when you settle in. Regards Barry

Some of the best walking and Mountain biking to be found in Spain during the winter months around Finestrat and Sella. I'm booked to come back for Dec Jan and Feb.

Hello Antoinette,

I hope your move is going well.

Did you find any information about dragon boating?

I was a regular dragon boater in the UK for some years as a member of Henley Dragons, and would love to do it here - I'm now living near Moraira, so any information about dragon boating in the general area would be fantastic.

Enjoy Villajoyosa! I was there for the day a few days ago. It is such a lovely place.

Hi Rose,

Great to hear from you and sorry it's taken me so long to reply. We headed off to Villajoysa to close the purchase of our house at the end of July but unfortunately there was an issue with the sellers documentation and the sale has now been put on hold until Sep 30th. We are impatiently waiting in back in Northern Ireland until the deeds are signed.

I got in contact with the Club Nautica in Villajoysa, http://www.cnlavila.org/ through their website and they provided me with information about going for a try-out. Fingers crossed I'll be back soon and able to go.

Regards,

Antoinette

Hi Barry,

Thanks for getting in touch. Our move to Villajoysa has been delayed a bit but we expect to be in situ by the beginning of Oct. I'll make contact then, it would be lovely to meet up.

Regards,

Antoinette
