Hi everybody we have bought a holiday home in grand alicante and want to rent the property while it’s empty.Can anybody recommend a good agent that can over see the rental .Would much appreciate your help regards mick

There is very little market for short term holiday lets. Long term residential let's are more lucrative but if it's your holiday home this probably won't work.
If you are still interested a site like holiday lettings is your best bet. But don't go into it expecting too many bookings

Just bear in mind that you need a property rental licence from Valencia, landlord's insurance, energy efficiency certificate, etc, and be prepared to pay tax on the rental income every three months.

Hi Mick
My husband have just bought 2 apartments in Gran Alicant which we are going to be renting as holiday rentals, last year when we checked holiday rentals for ourselves to come over to buy our first place they were all sold out. In the winter months you can get airline staff wanting to book. We have a keyholder who charges 300 euros for an apartment a year, but is doing a deal for us as she will manage both. She organises cleaners after clients leave which is 60 euros.

I ask to assure myself that the job is being done properly, and I'm happy that you would do so.
As you know, but many others may not, if an unlicensed property is picked up by the authorities and a prosecution started, the prosecution wouldn't just be against the owner and agent, it would also be against the advertiser. That's the only reason I look at posts regarding properties to let short-term - to make sure there aren't any illegal properties advertised. I don't want Jan to give up on the forum because she's prosecuted for something she's inadvertently missed.
