Hi, can anyone advise how difficult it is to change banks, we're currently with BS down in El Campello and have been meaning to do something for years. The commission and interest charges are ridiculous .. we only use it for the utility bills and the bank cost is one of the biggest costs!!. Thank you

All banks will charge you a lot as a non resident just some not quite so much. Easy to change as either the new bank will request a list of payments and direct debits or your old bank will give you a printed list for your new bank. Then simply arrange a day to withdraw your money, usually a day or two later to ensure no outstanding payments.

Alternatively, open an account with an online bank, and there are quite a few popping in, that has an EU IBAN like Wise and get them to pay your direct debits. No charges.
