We are due to move from the UK to Albatera in February, please could anyone give us advise as to the best way to be able to watch all the English channels.
Many Thanks.

I think most people would say that the most reliable/stable system would be via a satellite dish if you have the space to install it.
Assuming you're not talking about a place in the middle of nowhere in the campo Albatera itself is pretty well provisioned internet wise which means IPTV is a perfectly viable option and certainly a fraction of the cost of a dish (you'll need 1.8m) and a Sky subscription which is what now, £65/mth?

Yes, IPTV certainly provides a viable option to a satellite dish and yes it may be cheaper at the installation stage but the dish, thereafter has no monthly outlay so in the long term the dish would be a cheaper system.
Additionally, then you need to find a reliable IPTV provider, maybe you have one ? Perhaps you could say who this is to provide the OP with tools to make the decision between the two systems.

"....and a Sky subscription which is what now, £65/mth?"
Only if you want the Sky pay channels...
If all you want are the main uk channels, BBC ITV C4 Five, then these are all subscription free on satellite, and all you need is a dish (at least a 1.4m) and receiver (not even a card)
And Sky packages start from £25/mth...and rise depending what channel package you want... but ask them nicly and you can get up to 50% off for up to 18 months.

I live in the Campo of Albatera and we started off using Peluche in town for internet but this was worse than useless, rarely getting the strength we were paying for so we changed to Telfy in Catral and bar a few teething problems which were quickly sorted out, we have had very few issues and I think we pay €28 a month for 10 mb. We use AAfreeenglishtv (http://aafreeenglishtv.com/) for IPTV and pay €120 a year for every single tv channel you could wish for. As football nuts we can even watch UK matches not shown on UK tv and we are very pleased.
For whatever reason, I have seen posts slamming this service......it has gone down a few times when there have been raids on the service but overall we are delighted as we are in the middle of nowhere and were beginning to doubt we would ever get a decent service. If you are in town Peluche is fine.
Hi Cheryl
Thank you very much for your advice, we have Telfy contact details and will give them a call, and your info re ‘freeenglish’ is great news.
We are moving to Albatera during January and Early Feb so need to get the ball rolling with this and hoping our internet signal will be OK, we are moving into the Partida De Las Lomas area.
Thanks again for your help and advice
Kim
