According to the CAB, sourced by an amendment on the DGT website, yesterday Oct 31st. was supposed to be the drop dead date for the exchange of UK licences for Spanish so it would be interesting to hear from anybody attempting an exchange from today and going forward.

Presumably, if observed and applied by DGT, then from today new applications will be refused.

DGT have just extended the period for application to 31st January 2020:

It may also help you to know the rules and regulations regarding driving in Spain if you have a look at the N332 website and/or Facebook page.   They are run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people and on the website there is also an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code.

This was decided on the basis of the UK leaving on 31st October. Spain are the only ones to believe Johnson!

I'm sure it will return to normal as we are still in the EU and they can't legally refuse, at least until 31st January.
