Hi everyone,

I'm Erin, I am 20 and I live in Albatera Campo. I am currently training to be an English teacher for foreign students and should be finished my training by September. I will have a TEFL equivalent plus 30 extra hours teaching young learners. I am currently learning how to drive and learning Spanish 1-2 twice a week and I have all my legal documents. If anybody knows anyone in the teaching business (friends, family etc) could you please inform me as I really want to start teaching and meeting new people. :) thank you

Hi Erin, your best bet may be to go to the local Ajuntamiento to find out if there are organisations in your area who could use your services. In Marina Alta there is a type of ‘quango’ - Creama - which runs classes for Spanish people wishing to learn English to help them into employment; several teachers have TEFL qualifications. However, they all work voluntarily - ie, these are not salaried positions.

You could also set up your own private service, but , as you know, you would need to register as self-employed officially.
