Hi Shirley, there is a bus into Alicante which stops on the main road through Albatera. It runs every two hours - its the Alicante to Mercia route.  It stops in the lay by outside the Tabaconists (opposite the Electrical Shop).  The timetable is on the bus stop, sorry I can't remember the times.  I do know though that the last bus back into Albatera is at 18.15 from Alicante bus station.

There aren't any other buses to other coastal resorts you have to go into Alicante and change buses.  Then of course you can get to Santa Pola, Guardamar, Benidorm and lots of other places.

Have you just moved to Albatera??? we've got a Park home on Albatera Mobile Home Park.  We'll be out there again next month.  Counting down the days.  I'll see if I can find my bus timetable and send you the times if it helps.

Ann

Thanks for your reply. Just wanted to find out how easy it was to have a beach day. I,m researching cos by a massive coincidence I,m hoping to buy a static on albatera mobile home park early next year. I like the idea of the mountains around us and not being too commercial an area. We won't have a car so would rely on public transport. Thanks again for your reply.possibly meet you in a few months. Shirley

Good morning Shirley 23, my husband and I are thinking of going onto the Park and we don't want a car so therefore will need to rely on public transport. I know it's a few years since your post so was wondering how things went for you.

We are wondering if there is a direct bus to the beach now without having to go to Alicante to change buses and how long does it take to stroll to Albatera. Any information would be appreciated.

Good morning Annrix55. Are you still at the Albatera camp site, if not, have you moved to somewhere better. My husband and I are on a campsite in Guardamar  with no bus service, we don't want a car so looking to move to somewhere within walking distance to amenities. How long does it take to stroll to Albatera. Is there now a direct bus service to the beach without going to Alicante.

If your site is no longer suitable  can you recommend anywhere else.

Any information would be appreciated

Best wishes Kath

Inland towns, away from the coastal ones, do not normally have decent bus services.   Here in Almoradi (about 20 minutes' drive inland from Torrevieja) we have a lovely bus station but not many buses.
