OK, hands up, I've been trying to get a refund for my cancelled Ryanair flight through "My Booking" via their website and getting nowhere fast. Then I went back to the cancellation e-mail they sent me and read it properly!!!!
If you use the link they give in this e-mail it takes you straight to a form which takes 2 minutes to fill in and Hey Presto, refund on the way.

At last, someone who actually reads their mails. Hope all the others on here do the same before they start complaining.

Hi Cheryl
I WAS using the email from Ryanair as you say to try and get the refund ( Not on the manage my bookings)
after reading your message just now, I tried it again and it worked! . It might have been the volume of traffic that was the problem-
delighted
A useful bit of information... thank you
Their website has Been less than helpful and often unavailable
An additional bit of info is that when you select change flight... just to find out your options.. whatever flight you select it’s unavailable until May... do not select a date
I did and it automatically cancelled my flight so no refund and an automated change of date... I was just looking and came out of the app ... it changed the flight without my confirmation.. be warned

Hi All
Had the same problem as everybody with Ryanair and Easyjet and eventually got to the correct forms.
Finally got home to uk last Thursday after 3 cancelled flights with above airlines after last minute booking with Jet2 who halfway through booking on line raised there price by 50%.
More astonishing was when we got to Alicante Airport there were no queues anywhere and we breezed straight through customs and onto our flight which was Half full!? even though the flight after ours had been cancelled.!?
Still can't get my head around that.
Best of luck to anyone stuck in Spain but after our experience I would recommend turning up at the Airport and personally trying to get a flight there and then rather then waste hours on the internet and phone.

Glad to hear you got home safely. I think the planes are restricted on the number of passengers they can take to ensure distancing and possibly the airlines are operating on a wing and a prayer at the moment with things changing minute by minute. I agree that it may be better to just go to the airport as some airlines have suggested this themselves.
As for the prices going up during the booking process, the airlines release seats at different prices as they fill up, maybe the first 10 at the lowest price then once those have gone the next so many become available at a higher price, then the next etc. It is almost certain that you were not the only one trying to book that same flight its just that someone beat you to the lower priced seats.

We had e-mail from Easyjet yesterday.
We have a flight booked with them in June for a visit to UK.
Other leg of trip is with Ryanair.
Easyjet offered change of flight with no fee if we choose to change.
Hanging on for now..........
