Well. Let's see what happens next. Euro from 1.30 yesterday to 1.23 this morning. Shares fell dramatically. Pound fell against the dollar. Are we so blinded to the facts when the leave campaign was mainly based on immigration in a country full of immigrants from all over the world  My town voted out by 60 40 yet we have a massive asian immigration community did they vote out ?

It's been my belief for some time that Britain is Broken and this confirms it. A lurch to the right is now possible, along with some of the dangerous things that might bring.

Scotland will most likely vote for independence in a second vote and it will be ironic if/when that happens as they will apply for and be accepted into the EU leaving little England to battle on alone.

The markets may recover over time, but where it leaves Brits in Spain who knows. A giant leap in the dark, just my humble opinion!

You mean nobody knows and it's all speculation? You'll have someone telling you off if you say things like that :-)

Ha Ha Brian yeah. Democracy has spoken, and let's all be glad we live in a free country, whether that is the UK or indeed Spain. Sometimes it's a case of be careful what you wish for. Only time will tell on this one.

There is a petition going round on face book for another referendum when i signed there was nearly 3 million who had signed, it say's that any referendum under 60% with a turn out of under 79% can call for a new referendum..dont know if this is fact..but i signed any way.

Not a fact.

‘We the undersigned *call upon HM Government to implement a rule* that if the remain or leave vote is less than 60% based on a turnout less than 75% there should be another referendum'.

It is a petition for a rerun of the referendum. That will not happen. To be fair, the petition started before the referendum.

It now has over 100,000 signatures, forcing it to be debated in Parliament, taking up the time of MPs.

In 1975, when the UK voted to stay in the EEC there was a 65% turnout. If those wishing to revisit the last referendum on the basis of a less than 75% turnout are happy to revisit the 1975 one, well that would be interesting. On a 75% turnout requirement nothing would ever change. I wonder why they chose that figure?

The Government of the day took us into the EEC in 1973 with no referendum at all. I urge support for the petition if the petitioners agree we should go back to the pre-1973 position.

Gosh, when hubby and I signed yesterday it was at 2.25million. That's amazing. Does show that there are alot of unhappy voters.

For my own sake I'm just gonna make sure we move to Spain before the end of the 2yr "divorce"
