HI All. Moved with my wife and 18 year old daughter to the Campo in Albatera last October. Having a really good time. All is great apart from next door neighbours. Basically their plot is a building site. One old caravan, half finished brick building and 2000 sq mtrs of dog faeces. 3 dogs left all week. They come on a Saturday to feed them.(One is caged up all week in this heat) poor thing. In the strong winds in January a 15 foot part of our adjoining wall fell down. I said I would go 50/50 on repairing said portion of wall. Just been given a quotation for €2000 euros to fix their whole 40 mtr wall that is falling down after 20 years of neglect on their behalf. Sufficed to say, they can get lost, and I have no intention on paying, but just wanted to say, what a cheek!!!!!

Sounds about normal for Campo living in Spain !

May not apply to you personally but after decades living on scrunched up UK housing estates with postage stamp gardens and barely a couple of metres separation from neighbours the typical Brit dream of living in splendid isolation surrounded by acres of nothing can all too quickly turn into a nightmare.

How about giving poor John some consideration instead of just the dogs.

I think Johns demonstrated he’s well fit to handle his neighbors 😉

Hi guys and girls. Thanks for the replies. Agree with them all. Sadly, I can do nothing about the dogs. Seems to be a different outlook on life to animals in Spain. I have told the neighbours that I think it's wrong, but they ignore me just like I'm going to ignore their quotation lol. And yes, I can certainly handle anything that they throw at me. I was just offloading my thoughts really, and maybe over time I'll become to understand the Spanish outlook on life more. By the way, my other Spanish neighbours have been brilliant and supportive, so I suppose as in any country you take the rough with the smooth.
