You would need to move away entirely from anywhere in the province of Valencia in order to avoid the use of Valenciano, which is the language of the region. Castellano - ‘Spanish’ - is not necessarily the first language here, although everybody speaks it. It is compulsory in the region of Valencia for a high proportion of lessons to be given in Valenciano.

Hello:

That it is not exactly at all.

I am pretty sure that what you want is that you want your children not to learn every subjet in Valenciano. If you move to a  town where Valenciano is not an official lenguage (in page 12 http://www.dogv.gva.es/datos/1983/12/01/pdf/1983_802514.pdf, basicaly south of Alicante) your sons can learn almost everything in Spanish.

The problem that I see for you is that you can not help him, if you can help him if books are in Spanish. Other way he will learn so soon valenciano and in case they need to translate to English Valenciano or Spanish is the same.

In my children's school we had really a lot of children that arrive knowing nothing of Spanish/Valenciano and they catch my children in 2 months. For expample 1 month ago a boy from Senegal without speak Spanish or English, he already understand a lot. The same last year with 2 English girls and 4 years ago a Russian boy. In this area more than 30% of the people is not Spanish and in Rojales 70%.

Anyway you can move to Murcia, Castilla la Mancha or Andalucia.
