Hi

The usual question.... Jobs jobs jobs.

I am a twenty eight year old hoping to be out with you all in about eight weeks.., Realise its a bad time of year to be searching for an opening onto the workforce but  I just want to grab the moment

I am working at British Steel at the moment.

Have excellent customer service experience.Managed a fast food restaurant. Worked as a Driving/ Removals. Fork lift /flatbed licences, warehouse Manager and plastering /buliding/carpentry skills.

What are my chances of securing work. I am going to give this move  100%  shot.

Look forward to meeting new mates and living amongst you .

Roll on Sept/Oct.

If you are not fluent in Spanish  you have a very low % of finding anything meaningful You may be lucky enough to find a job washing pots. But at 5e per hour it is unlikely you would be able to cover the cost of your private healthcare insurance and rent.
Stay where you are.

Such a negative response. Be honest but in a helpful way. It may be true but there are nice ways of saying it.

No worries

I am determined to make a go of it I may be proved wrong but I would rather regret the things I did than the things I didn't do.

Thanks for the reply

Hi

I moved here permantley a little while ago I have several little jobs now that keep me occupied.  Don't listen to negative comments just the possertives.  You will find work like any where in the world if you seek you will find. Don't be put off by the 5€ an hour comments . I wouldnt work for that personally. I don't think the person meant it in a bad way towards you they were just trying to let you know it's harder than the UK

The Spanish work for little amounts but I have found  the British like there own working for them. It's not a bad thing I'm sure the Spanish are the same.

You just have to put yourself out there and work to the best of your ability be honest and reliable  that's all any one can do . Work is hard to find here but you will find it

The cost of living is low too so that's a bonus . Word of mouth is good so get yourself out there go to the bars have a chat etc your a man so you could get heavy physical work too

I wish you well Don't give up or be put off it's lovely here !

Good luck

Sue

Hi,

I’ve just returned to the UK after being on holiday in our villa for 5 wks and seriously didn’t want to come home! I say if you want it you go for it have no regrets in life just live each day to the best you can.

What’s the worst that happen, you work for less you adapt your lifestyle & thrive to get where you want to be, you can do it if that’s what your heart says you want too!

I too am considering the same as I’m much happier in the sunnier climate & the lifestyle they have. I felt the English are more inclined to use the English as opposed to the Spanish for one thing there time keeping is more reliable & possibly trustworthy.

I wish every success in finding a job & good luck with the move 🍀

Hi

I agree with the most of the comments on here however  the last comment you had from the lady who has just returned back to the UK after 5 weeks is lovely and she's spot on .

The British do work hard here as I'm sure you will too I know alot of British workers that do brilliant jobs!

Most of us work here legally yes that's true and it is better to do that as you end up better off when your older and your paying your taxes so yes a good point made

However ....  come on in the UK if you had a dripping tap or a flat battery you wouldn't think twice to giving your neighbour £20 to fix it would you? Or babysitting ... the list is endless That's cash in hand I'm sure everyone around the world has done it although some people would say they hadn't hmmmm?

I live here permantley now so it's different for me . I say go for it !!!!do what you have to do follow your dream and don't listen to the know it all's on here there certainly are alot of them and no doubt I'l get a negative comment after my message to you but we are all entitled to our say so that's mine

Sticks and stones as we say !

Do what you makes you happy not what makes someone else happy . It's your life !
