Hello I am looking to socialise in Cocentaina and Alcoy which are the largest populated areas to where I am staying. Can anyone recommend any Restaurants bars who have live music dancing events.

I can't suggest any dancing events or live music but I can recommend an Intercambio group which meets twice a week in Cocentaina at the social centre in Ave Real Blanc (Tuesdays 10am - Midday & Thursdays 6pm - 8pm)
Its a mixture of Spanish people and expats of all ages wanting to make friends and practice their English & Spanish - its free, informal and very friendly - I'm sure you will be able to find out everything you want to about the local social scene once you get to know people there....
