Hi there. I don't actually live in Alcoy but down the road in Onil. I would like to know whether there is anyone in Alcoy that assists with Residecia applications - ie helps with the paperwork and goes with to the Police station?

TIA

Any Gestoria will be able to do that for at a reasonable reasonable price.

Thanks but I'm looking for someone who specialises in it that works in the Alciy area. There are a lot of such businesses on the cost but was hoping there would be one here.

Hi Helen my appointment is the 18th of December. Unfortunately I wasnt able to get one in Alcoi the only options were Elda - next year - or Alicante. I managed to get an appointment in Alicante. I have a very nice lady who lives in Onil who is going to assist me.

can anyone tell me what documents I need to renew our residencias in Benidorm.  I have been told we need 2 years bank statements, does anyone know if this is true.  Also what other documents do we need.  Any help would be appreciated.  Many thanks.

Residency certificates don't need renewing.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for responding to my e-mail.  I have a green card which was issued march 2018 and in brackets next to the date there is the number 3 which I presume means that is how long the card is valid for.  It also says residente comunitanio en Espana desde at the side of the date.  It would be wonderful if your right but I have a feeling it has to be renewed and obviously needs to be done before March next year.

Thanks again for your comments.

Hi Jim,

As I have explained to you about our green residencia cards do you still think that they do not need to be renewed.  I have search online about this but can't find any information.  Your comments would be appreciated.

Many thanks

They definitely don't need renewing - if they did, they'd have an expiry date specified. There isn't even a facility to renew them, simply because they last indefinitely unless you do a baja because you're leaving Spain.

I don't know what the number in brackets signifies. Many cards don't have such a number, although I've seen a couple with number 1 in brackets. If anyone knows, please enlighten the rest of us.

I don't blame you for wanting to be sure, but stop fretting and relax! No action required.
