Bet remoaners didn't know this.

Eye opening article on electricity prices. Seems electricity prices are control by the EU on the basis of "no unfair completion" and "allowed" Spain to temporarily control it's own electric prices! Another EU benefit the UK have "missed" out on!! 😁Comments from that "I'm always right" remoaner on here will be interesting.

Yeah, because we all know energy prices are really low in the UK at the moment, everybody is really pleased there with how little they are having to pay for gas and electric.

Oh, hang on.....

The link above doesn't work, but for anyone who's interested in reading the article, this is the correct link.

Personally, I think it's a non-story - even with energy bills rising worldwide, my monthly electricity bills in Spain continue to be cheaper than they were in the UK, and that's even with having a private pool here.

I wonder whether those Brexiteers are delighted with Sunak's 5p per litre reduction in UK petrol prices, compared to Sanchez's 20c per litre in Spain?

Typical brexiteer, desperate to find something to label as a benefit.

Sad.

PS, please don't spell brexiteer with a capital B, it's neither necessary nor deserved.

Surely it’s time to get over and forget about Brexit. It’s over and done with, equally so, comparisons between Spain and the UK. Brexit was a democratic decision made by the citizens of the UK, end of story !.  There is no benefit comparing the price of electricity or anything else in Spain compared with any other country. You are where you are through personal choice, so make the best of it. I have returned from Spain after two weeks of miserable weather, Sandy rain, spending a fortune trying to keep warm, and wondering what I was doing there when the UK was basking in sunshine. Spent the last week sitting in my other garden in the UK, no heating on, getting a suntan. UK weather is now much better than it used to be, and without a doubt it’s because of Brexit. Mind you ! They are forecasting the possibility of snow next week, again down to Brexit.

My electricity bill have been far cheaper since living in Spain as are the prices of other necessities, gas, food etc. As Hew says, you live where you choose to live so it's no use moaning about prices. Brexit is a thing of the past, move on!!

What about all the billions that was allocated to Spain by the EU to help the economy after the pandemic. About fooking time some of it was spent, 20cent off a litre of fuel is the very least the Government should be doing considering all the money they have been given.None has been spent on the infrastructure mainly the roads which are becoming dangerous to drive on. I would like to know which idiots thought filling these holes with sand was a good idea.
