After looking again at the proposed property the agent is telling us it is difficult/ not possible  to get permission for a swimming  pool In the Alcoy area.  I know  that adjoining properties have them. This could  be a deal breaker. The solicitor says the agent should find out and the agent says ask your  solicitor, a pool is a must have. Has anyone ever had difficulty in this area,  we are looking  in urbanization  Sargento.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Vince.

The simple answer is to ask the town hall, as they would have to grant a major works license for a pool.

Vince... just an idea... put an offer to the Agent with the following agreement: “ happy to buy this Villa, as long as we have got the Certificate for building a swimming pool”... then your Dolicitir would be in touch with the seller’ Solicitor which he/she will get the request to the town hall at their expense!.. but this could take you 3 months especially when it is near Xmas now!... but this is your best solution... and if it comes back with a “ No”... then the sale is va called and get your deposit back!!!...

Go for it!.. nothing to lose!.. kind regards. Serge
