Hi Chris
Happy to help.
When I bought my house all the windows were single pane and all the window frames leaked [as I found out when I leapt out of bed into our new swimming pool inside the Master Bedroom].
I hade the lot replaced - 13 windows I think + 2 doors - the front door which is huge and the Granny Room door. All units were wood finish UPVC construction, triple glazed, German built, open/tilt, lockable handles. All windows with the exception of the Kitchen a protected by UPVC shutters which push out and are retained in the open position by wall-mounted catches or close and are secured by a rotating handle/catch & swivel lock [apparently you do not put shutters on kitchens]. All window/shutter handles are colour coordinated. The Granny room door has a cantilever white PVC covered metal concertina security shutter which is also lockable [separate keys to the door]. The Front door is one massive and wide solid UPVC block which arrives with standard keys but then I was issued with bespoke keys for that door only [4 sets]. Very smooth closing.
I think they took 3 days in total, cutting out the old windows, installing new, sealing etc. Then 2 - 3 days later they came back and I gave them a list of "defects" which I had observed [mainly cosmetic - too much sealant, not enough sealant etc] and they rectified everything without complaint.
I checked with a friend in UK who had 3 windows replaced and it cost him more! Oi did Larf ;-0

Remember to ask for "Windows Juan" big beefy bloke - Biker [Harley Davidson], he and his family are my neighbours in the Sierra Serreta.
His English is limited [like my Spanish] but he is a very friendly bloke and his family are lovely ;-)
No worries about timing. If you want the job done March, might be better to contact about now, get them to come out and measure, etimate etc. I say this because the windows are manufactured in Germany and Pascal Cuenta will not order until you put down a deposit [I thinks its 1/3rd]. I went through several rewrites as out specifications changed, which took 4 - 6 visits. And I think post-deposit about two weeks [but I can check that if you want as I have Windows Juans wattsapp number?
Where are you by the way, just for his information. The windows will arrive on the back of a flatbed truck, so hopefully you have plenty of parking lol

My ex-wife is French - one reason for not moving there.
Love the French people, like the Spanish, warm and inviting, but hate the French politics.
Yeah covid cocked it up for me as well. I was tuck in my "Cortijo" [Old Almond Farm] for over 2 years. Loved every second ;-) It has 5 acres of almond, olive, walnut, pear, plum and apple. On a mountain, looking out over mountains, with a pool and a healthy stash of wine and beer. Whats to complain ;-) My Partner [Chrissie] got stuck here for 4 months during 2020. We kept busy, had "Beer O'Clock every day at 4pm, followed by G&T O'Clock at 5pm and nibbles, wine and dinner in the sun, peace and quiet, just the rustling of the mountain conifers ;-)
We dont have internet at the house. We were then both with Virgin. I had a 12GB per month deal and did all my internet on my phone. Now you have to watch for the roaming charges but I still think that only applies to the BT Family of companies [BT, EE, Vodafone]. Basically they are trying the market - nobody else has taken it up, so by the end f the year roaming charges will be binned.
Enjoy wet France ;-)
We have escaped to Barbados, an old haunt which we love.
Max & Chrissie
