Supermarket opened on Sunday

Hi

We are arriving here in a couple of weeks on a Sunday is there a supermarket opened for basic supplies.

Hi Tricia. I appreciate this reply is sadly too late for you but I've been living in Alcoy for almost 2 weeks now and wanted to pass on info that may be relevant for others thinking of coming here soon. I haven't found any supermarkets open on a Sunday here and apart from a handful of cafes, Burger King, McDonalds and a market in the Batoi district, Alcoy pretty much shuts down, especially after 2pm. (Although the local buses still operate as normal). There is talk of a Kuups supermarket opening soon though which will be open on Sundays. I did stumble across just one 'corner shop' a couple of small bakeries and there should also always be one pharmacy open too. If anyone else needs any more specific info over the next few months I would be happy to help.....
