Can anyone tell me what the weather has been like recently and what to expect next week?! We're coming for a week on 29 May and currently on forecasts I've looked on it looks quite showery! Is this something we should expect at this time of year as we'd planned on a warm, sunny holiday 😊

The weather has changed this last week. Really hot and sunny for months but this has changed with a cold front coming in and meeting the warm air on land. I'm afraid the forecast in Alcudia is cloud and rain for the next couple of weeks but it will be warm (21 to 25C).

I suggest that you look at the meteorlogical website for Spain which is AEMET.    This year the weather is not so good at present.   Here in Almoradi (20 minutes drive inland from Torrevieja) the forecast is for rain every day for the next week.

Bring a canoe with you.

"Cuando en Marzo mayea, Mayo marcea" - a Spanish colloquial saying for, "When March is like May, May is like March" - so we're paying now for the dry, hot March we had, not to mention the dry, hot December, January, February and April we also had!  ;o)

I feel a bit sorry for one young couple staying at the moment. They came over a few years ago in January and it was cloudy and rainy all week. This time they decided to leave it until the end of May. Some people are just unlucky, I guess.

On the other hand, my garden is perking up.

Hello

I'm a registered feeder for some local cats so currently my covered patio is full of wet washing & wet cats.

Other than that I'm enjoying this rain after so long....it's not cold & everywhere is looking so fresh, green  & clean.   This enthusiasm won't last  too long if it continues for a few more days though!

Cheers

Our Spanish neighbour quoted the same to us last week and again this morning. Back wearing sweat pants, sweat shirts and socks and also summer duvet has been back on the bed all this past week and will stay there.
