Hi

My partner James and I are thinking of buying a getaway apartment in Algorfa and we viewed a few earlier this week in the Fontana complex.

Couples of questions for advice / input:

1. What do people think of Algorfa?

2. What are people’s views on the Fontana Apartments?

Thanks

Billy.

Not sure how helpful this will be as we have only stayed in Fontana whilst renting on holiday.  We now have a holiday home near by though and do know Alfgorfa.  It is a lovely village, quiet but with enough facilities and bars / restaurants to mean there is plenty to do.  It's also a good location being near to the busier Ciudad Quesada area, many markets and so on.  From our short stay of a couple of weeks in Fontana we thought the apartments were really nice and some have fantastic views.  The only issue, as with all apartments, is occasional noise levels - usually the neighbour flushing the toilet or doing the washing at 2 in the morning!

We bought about a year ago in Fontana 1 - we love the village and the complex - if your buying check out the aircon as if it’s not been replaced they are about 20 years old and due - ours died a week after moving in ! £2000 to replace but least it’s much more efficient. The village is lovely and a good few places to eat … I would say you need a car really but the fontanas have garage and also cheap airport long term parking - best thing we ever did!
