Not strange at all, more dogs in pushchairs than children.

Rubbish

Yes, truly disgusting behaviour. What is it about astro turf that makes some people think it's a place to let your dog do a poo? Actually saw some on a children's playground here. Jaw dropping!

It should be said, however, that the situation in Algorfa village has improved enormously in the four years I've been here. Some hefty fines were handed out to the transgressors; and this did the trick. The mayor here is a top guy....

...

Most dog owners here are ultra responsible...I actually saw a guy the other day washing his dog's urine away using a squeezy water bottle. Never seen that before...total respect to him.

In conclusion, Alba 5, it seems the best way to deal with these people is to hit them where it hurts the most...in their pockets. It worked well in Algorfa village, it will work in La Finca.

It's one of the dog owners rules here in Benidorm that poo bags and a water/disinfectant bottle must be carried. Urine must be squirted with the water mix and poo picked up.........

Doesn't always happen!!!!!

Dog poo problem here in Benidorm mostly on the back streets 🤷‍♂️

Hard to understand how they can poo from a pushchair, what’s all that about.

What a ridiculous comment..!!

We use a water bottle to wash away our dog's urine - I read somewhere that it was a requirement, it's no bother.

Are you on, is it La Finca 2, where the house numbers are 260s to 280s, Where we have trouble with the astro turf anyway?

If you are, I can tell you it's not a dog it's a cat, as I live opposite the pool and I've never seen a dog out there, but there are three cats I see out there all the time, and there's a big black one always on the turf by the pool. Cats can do big ones you know!

Agree, it's not a  good situation. I live near the dunes, and in the dunes  it is not cats (they poo all over the pavements nearby )  but some dogs are admittedly guilty,  however mainly it is the poo left by humans! Along with the soiled paper, that is far more unsettling.  Also, there would be less cat poo on our streets if people would stop feeding them, especially those who drive into my neighbourhood, feed the street cats and then  drive off.

Not in your area but we put small white chips down a couple of months ago and were delighted with the result. We were staying recently and on a couple of mornings came out to find what looked to me like dog poo.  It was actually cat poo. Since had to remove our lovely stones and tile over instead. The cat pop was suspiciously like any dog poo I’ve seen.

People on urbanisations who encourage and feed feral cats have a lot to answer for. I’ve found them sleeping on my patio furniture. I like animals but seeing cat poo on the grass around our poolside is a regular thing. We have a female who devotes her life to feeding these strays. No matter how many warnings she’s had, she continues feeding and encouraging them. All animals poo so they find a suitable spot and keep coming back to that place. Thankfully, no more poo since tiling.

Hello

The female you mention, is probably - like me- registered as a feeder with the town hall Councillor for Animals & given a certificate of proof.   Did you ask her?

You can also get a visible flourescent waistcoat stamped with the charity details that work with the town hall, & who neuter/spay the cats & give them a health check.

. If, as you say, she devotes her life to feeding animals, I commend her!!

Cheers
