We bought an apartment in Algorfa about a year ago and we have been for a number of weeks including all school holidays so renting a car is proving expensive , so we are thinking of buying a second hand car - focus size - we have an underground garage but would want to store at airport - any advice or suggestions if local second hand garages that can be trusted ? Thanks

Be extremely careful. I wouildn't buy except from a car rental company, vehicles are not too old and you get an acceptable history. Furthermore, the Law stipulates a 1 year warranty. Take your time.

We bought a second hand car off Club Cars at La Marina and they were excellent throughout, including after care service.
There are a number of parking options at Alicante and Corvera airports but we use Ecoparking, €250 a year for unlimited visits. They are reliable and very helpful.
I’m sure others will recommend other companies, just providing you with the benefit of our experience.

Try FWR Eurocars near Alicante Airport. Excellent service and Frank the owner is a first class honest guy.

If you use both Alicante and Murcia airports then consider Plane parking. They will take you car to either airport on a transporter which gives you more flexibility and maybe cheaper flights? It costs more obviously. They are meant to very good as well.
