ITV question
My car is due for its ITV shortly and while giving it a quick check over i found that my rear brake lights work perfectly but the high level ones are not working at all will this equal a failure?

yes
Hi David, if possible' it is advised you have the high level brakes lights repaired prior to presenting the car to the ITV station.
If you take the car in with the high level lights not working, but with lower level lights in good order it would be at the discretion of the Tester as to whether or not the issue merited a failure ( desfavorable ).
It is possible the item could be see as a minor fault ( defectos leves ) and the new ITV issued, if no other faults found.
The Police could still issue fines until the high brake lights were repaired so all in all I wouldn't take the chance, I would have them sorted prior to taking in the car .

Thanks for the advice Les i have asked a friend who lives in Spain to take it for repair for me before the ITV is due at the end of the month. I am in the UK untill next year and thought i would get it done when i returned but better safe than sorry.
No probs David ,
Our car was in for the ITV a few days ago , Thankfully it went through with flying colours and getting that all important window sticker was like an early xmas present .
Best of luck with your car👍 and hopefully you too will soon recieve a nice little sticker 🙂
