I am about to purchase a second hand car shortly. I understand there is paperwork to be filled in and also an appointment has to be made at a government office. Last time I did this, many years ok, a company in Montesino did all this for me, unfortunately I can't remember name of the. Would anyone know of a company that does this. My house is in Algorfa.

They did everything, excellent service.
When I bought my car which was second hand all the paperwork was done by the dealer, I just turned up on the agreed date signed a few forms and presented my driving licence and passport and drove it away.thats was about 3 years ago now
There are specialist companies that do this for you (there are at least 3 in Quesada) but any gestor will carry out the work for you if you are buying privately. Buying through a dealer then the dealer should complete the transfer.
