Hola!   Having just purchased a house with a pool, I know this pool will need re grouting. 19m2, so not very big.   Any idea of price and a reputable company for the job?   I am in Montemar.

Gracias ☺️

We had our pool regrouted by company The Pool People, phone 662671379. We are very happy with the quality and cost of work.

Hi Ann212. Out of interest how big is your pool and what was the cost?

Our pool is 32 square meters, 50000 litres. It was in a "sorry state". With missing tiles, soft or missing grout and with pea soup like water from flourishing algae. We had as well the pool lights replaced and we paid 2300. The job included replacement of missing tiles after acid wash and clean.Pool was checked for leaks. They will give you cost free estimate. They will explain what the job involves anf they are well prepared for all types of jobs.

Many thanks. Presumably that was excluding refilling. Mine is 10x5 so 50sqm. No idea of the volume of water and will need some tiles replacing too.

Yes, the water is extra. In our place the best option was delivery in cisterns. Another possibility was to use tap water. We asked our water supplyer. This option is much slower and after certain volume the rate increases. Last year we paid for 10000 litre cistern 70. Could be different now.

I guess, volume of your pool could be around 75 000 litres.

Just multiply 50 by the average depth in metres to get volume. e.g. if its 1m deep at the shallow end and 2m at the deep end, then the average depth is 1 plus 2 divided by 2 = 1.5m average. Therefore volume would be 50 times 1.5 = 75 cubic metres. 1 cubic metre is 1000 litres, so 75000 litres. Usually much cheaper to order water from a company that will deliver by road tanker.

Whatever you decide, do NOT regrout your pool during hot weather, otherwise the grout will not set correctly and you may cause a bigger issue! The best time is around October - November.

Thank you, I can see it is not terrible but I do see it will need to be done. Of course the poolman suggested I do it now as I am sure it will make his cleaning a bit easier. I will get some quotes and have it done in the fall as you suggest 😃
