I was informing them about which sites don't charge booking fees, suggesting how they could save a few pounds.  Neither booking or airBnB were started originally as holiday let sites for complete properties but have diversified into it, whereas the others were set up from the start as holida...

...y let sites, that's all the comment meant.  Both my opinion and information are very much based on current reality, thank you.

If I may say so you do come across occasionally as someone who feels you are giving the best advice about letting holiday property, and your advice is the only correct advice.

Yet in previous posting advice about Tourist letting licences you refer to listing visitors on the Guardia Civil website. That may be the case where you live but I very much doubt it because I log my visitor details on the Policia Nacional website. The correspondence I hold from the Ministerio del Interior confirms this. See photo attached.

I think it's fair to offer your own advice but constantly rubbishing everyone else's advice or experience is unhelpful.

Dinnerout - I most certainly do not rubbish everyone else's advice.  I do not, nor have ever claimed, that our opinion is better than anyone else's.

As for the comment about where we register the details of our guests, it is on the website https://hospederias.guardiacivil.es which then submits the information entered to Ministerio Del Interior - but the form filling is done on the Guardia Civil site just given and the process to register to obtain access codes and password for that site where we are is via the local Guardia Civil office.  I also point out that any information we give relates to our own area and requirements and rules vary from region to region.

This discussion between us is not helpful or relevant to the original question posed.  I stand by my comment that certain websites allow direct contact between the owner and renter, (as opposed to an on-site messaging system only), and allow people to book without incurring additional booking fees payable to a middle-man website, and some people will appreciate being able to save that extra money.

Hi, this is a nice apartment that I’ve stayed at several times, it’s a 2bed but I know you mentioned you only needed a 1bed though. I’ve put the link below, hope this helps, either way I hope you find somewhere you like.
