We will be moving out to Spain later this year. Is it worth bring any power/gardening tools with us. Understand that the plugs will be three pin so will need adaptors but what about the electricity supply. Will it support the tools? Thanks

Thanks Ray and Pete for your advice. We will be having a lorry to bring furniture...just didn't want to fill it with items that might not work. We have a lot of hedge to trim!!

Hi ,bring your power tools , they are extortionate here , you will pay nearly as much for an unknown make , with a paper stick on manufacturers label , as you would for Bosch makita etc

Anything to do with DIY , or car accessories are horrendous , , so I would. Bring them , and my garden stuff

Bring you clothes tumble dryer - not a joke!  You will need it in the winter.

One piece of advice to add on to the other suggestions. Pick up some 4gang and 6 gang extension leads!

The tip is to swap out the UK plug for a Spanish shuko plug but then you still have the UK 3 pin outlet (socket). The replacement plugs can be between 1€ to 3€ each depending on type and style etc.

This comes in handy specifically for TV/Satellite etc as well as for kitchen appliances. You may also need to swap the plug if you have garden equipment which you will need an extension lead for.

My further recommendation is to buy decent Anti Surge extensions leads (a little more expensive) to protect Computer and Television equipment as we experience a lot of power issues in Spain.

The swapping of the plug tops is straight forward enough, if you need any more advice then please feel free to drop me a note

Hope it helps
