Hi there,

My husband and I have flights booked for 7-14 March and are looking for somewhere to stay while we look around in Algorfa. Looking to buy in Algorfa early next year so want to spend some time looking around at possible houses etc.

Can anyone recommend somewhere in or very close to Algorfa please ??? ?

Hi,

This might not suit, but as I am about to start a blog on the subject, I thought I might share.

If I had my time over again, I would rent initially. This gives you more time to get to know an area. Over the first couple of years, where I would have chosen to live and in what kind of property, community, urbanisation changed a great deal. Or even if I had wanted/needed to return to the UK as has happened with me.

Indeed, I might have rented permanently anyway and have invested elsewhere. Much less restrictive and cheaper! Rents are between two and four hundred euros a month in Algorfa for a two bed, one bathroom! Mine can be viewed under 'house swap' and is on Montemar, the other side of the road into Algorfa, opposite La Finca.

Yes, I am looking to rent my two bed apartment when I move back to the UK next year. But I have spoken of the same prior to this decision.

I would be interested in your thoughts as somebody moving over here, irrespective of the suitability of mine.
