Solicitor annual retainer Fee

Hi Folks we currently pay a yearly retainer fee to our solicitor [240 E] and would like your advice on the need for this  Regards Brido

I pay 70€ per year. This covers my non resi tax and advice

Thanks for your reply we pay E100 plus tax each so E240 so will need  to check what is included in the fee as we only purchased last year so we will be due to pay non residence tax by the end of year I think

 I pay 70 to your 100 so not so bad there. What is the other 140e for. If you have not paid non resi tax yet. I only bought Feb 16 and I am not liable for any tax yet. So not sure what your 140 could be

OK.  Understood. You are paying a bit over the odds. I pay 70e inclusive of IVA. But I am guessing your property is in joint names. Hence the need for 2 tax returns. If you shopped around you could get the 240e down to around 150-175e but if your happy with service it may be worth staying put
