Hello can anybody help.

We bought a property with another couple (family members) We are having problems with the outgoing bills. They have not got any money in our joint account, and my partner and I have paid the last four bills... They are aware of the situation and through numerous text messages and phone calls they have completely ignored us.

The problem is we have spoken to a solicitor and all they can say is for them to repay the debt, and if they do not pay the bills they would have to suffer the concequences.. Unfortunately because the bills are not excessive it would cost us more legally to take them to court..

Is it possible that as they are not paying that we could change the locks on the property, so they would not be able to use the apartment until all monies owed is payed up?

                                                Thabk you for any advice..
