Can anyone tell us where we should go or know of anybody that can accompany us to obtain our NIE numbers.
We have property on La Finca Golf and have so far tried in Elche, then got sent to Orihuela police station, La Zenia town hall all with no luck
This has been going on for several years and we are desperate to get it sorted out

Thanks for your reply.
Our solicitor originally told us Elche, we went 3 times and the last visit were told go to Orihuela. We tried there twice but was chaos and no one spoke English. When we finally got to the desk the guy said wrong day.
I googled it again and it said La Zenia town hall but make an appointment, only via the Internet. The page is unavailable!
We have never actually got as far as handing in the documents.
Would it be the police station in Orihuela?

There are many solicitors that will do that service for you and accompany you to get your NIE along with translation etc. It cost me 40€ and all done worry free.

We bought the property jointly with our son who already had his NIE number so I guess they used his. Our solicitor obviously failed us.
We are next out to Spain 12-22 July and hope to finally sort it then, but it's getting an appointment we are having trouble with

There's a lawyer in Alforfa (Lores) opposite Algorfa Real Estate on main road. They are sorting the one we need to purchase our apartment.
Thank you for that advice, will probably end up doing this
Will mean a day trip to Lonon but be easier
