Non Residents Tax
Hi can anybody please advice me on how much this should be on a property valued at 67000 euro as I have received a bill for E131.64 and only paid E73.10 last year TIA

It sounds about right to me - it's the €73.10 that seems strange.
Is €67000 the market value, or the cadastral value as shown on your IBI bill? It's the cadastral value on which the tax is based.
The date the property was last revalued determines the rate of tax, and this date also appears on the IBI bill.
If the property has been recently revalued, and the date this was actually done is later than the date it should have been done, then it's possible that arrears of tax can be charged.
Thanks for your reply Jim the cadastral value is in fact 66000 euro so if you recon the bill is fine thats good enough for me Cheers Mate

I'd have expected €66,000 x 1.1% x 19%, which would be €137.94, but I don't know what the 2018 rates are.
Thanks again Jim for your explanation on how it is calculated brilliant
