Welcome to the forum!

Sadly, Covid-19 has severely impacted us here in Spain too, with restrictions on what entertainment can happen in bars and restaurants.  There used to be great open mic events at the caves in Rojales, Sunday evenings in the summer and lunchtime in the winter months, but I don't believe they're going at the moment.  I'm hopeful though, as although the stage is covered, the seating is outdoors, around picnic tables under the trees.

I hope you hear from fellow musicians before you move; otherwise, I think it's going to be a case of checking out the current situation once you arrive here.  Good luck with your move.

Hi Kim and thank you for your reply and warm welcome. I understand what you're saying but we have to hope that one day soon a sense of normality will return. A world without the arts makes us all culturally poorer. Even just talking and listening to other peoples people's experiences is beneficial. 

I'll look out for the caves. I like to have a drink when I'm out so living in Algorfa may be a little constricting in that respect. Not to calm nerves but it's fun.

Do you play or sing? I'm up for jamming. Anything that gets me back into playing. I can't wait to get to Spain. I'm currently in quarantine as I've just returned from Spain having bought a bungalow in Algorfa.
