PLEASE Help.     My wife flew into murcia airport last night ( flight redirected from Alicante) and in the confusion we picked up the wrong suitcase. The one we have contains minimal clothes and prescription contact lenses. URGENT... in the missing case is my wife’s prescription medication which she has to take every day .   This case that we have obviously belong to a resident or  short stay visitor.     PLEASE HELP

You don't know that the other party has actually made the same mistake and picked up your case so it could easily still be at the airport!

If it comes to it, and assuming that your wife has a copy of her prescription (which of course she should carry whenever travelling), there's a good chance of her being able to buy what she needs over the counter here. Pharmacies in popular Brit areas will be the best bet.

Personally I'd never put essential medication in hold baggage but I suspect that's a mistake you're already beating yourself up about and won't be making again!

If you haven't already, contact the relevant airline help-desk such as https://www.ryanair.com/lv/en/useful-info/help-centre/faq-overview/contact-us/missing-baggage-airport-contact-numbers
