Are there any beer experts out there that are familiar with Mercadona Tostada beer (gold can).

My question being is it a lager or an IPA, it has a very distinct taste (which i like) and i am trying to source something similar in the UK.

I have tried searching the internet but cannot find any details about it other than the price etc.

Any help appreciated.

Don't know if it's of any help but the tostada cerveza are of the toasted malt variety giving them their distinct taste  :-)

Hi, not sure where your based in the UK, but I think banks bitter is close on taste. (Imho and a rubbish palate!) it's not as strong but Aldi/Lidl knock it out for about £1 a bottle here in the Midlands. It's one of my go to beers in Spain too. Happy hunting👍

Golden or amber ales are very similar to the tostados. When in Spain my favourite tostado cerveza is Turia from Valencia. Like you I bring cases home but it doesn’t last long when the family comes round. I find even the lager drinkers like it.
